Guest guest
Hi guys, I am a bit (well that's an understatement at the moment) busy right now, so no time for me to check the medical articles etc. and maybe I am forgetting personal details of Kris here (no time to look it up and bad memory at the moment...sorry...) as to earlier tests (manometry etc.), but: if I am correct, if we are talking about spasms, we are talking about something else then Ph and acid. For as far as I know there is no "real" connection: you can have acid without having pain (common in achalasians) and you can have spasms (pain) without having acid. I am not saying this is no case of non-acid reflux, but how about testings for spasms (if they haven't already been done and come back negative). Maybe I am rambling on here and not making true sense, but just wanted to add my point of view on this one. Love, Isabella Re: 24-hour pH test That is so strange, if your ph is higher than you are producing less acid. So if your pain is from spasms than you would think you would have less of them with a higher ph.
