While in surgery they discovered the other lung had also collapsed and that's why the surgery took so long. It was a scary time for her because she woke up on a respirator and had no idea why. I'll wait though and let her tell you all the details. The main thing is she is doing fine now. They pulled a couple tubes today, but she still has one left. Guest guest Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 Glad to hear is doing a lot better. , I know that its been a little rough so far, but I'll tell you having my ectomy in December was the best thing that I've ever had done. It feels so good to be able to sit down and eat a meal with my family and friends again and not have to run to the restroom.
