Guest guest
Dear a, Thank you so much for your report. It's good to see you posting again and to hear you are OK. I am shocked to learn what happened to . My English isn't well enough to know what a chylothorax and a pneumothorax are, but I'll Google that in a minute. I am sure it's nothing good, as she then wouldn't have been in surgery for another 5 hours. I am worried here and of course you can count on my prayers for her too. and I were in this together, she just went in a bit sooner then me. I thought of her during the whole surgery day and every day after. I will continue to do so. I am keeping in my thoughts as well, this must be the most difficult time he's ever been in as well. Love and thanks again, Isabella michelle and kristina Hello everybody,Things are going okay with me. I'm still in Pittsburgh. We will probably go home in the next couple of days. has had a set back. They had to re-operate today. She had a chylothorax. The surgery took 5 hours. She also had a pneumothorax on the left side now so she has two chest tubes. She is in ICU still intubated. is really having a rough time. s mom is flying out. I'm keeping in contact with jason frequently. Please keep her in your Prayers. I know she is going to be fine just a minor set back. She was doing so great and the day she was to go home the chest x-ray showed a minor collapsed lung. Guest guest
Kristi, So glad to hear you are doing well and looking forward to going home. I certainly can remember what that is like from my 'ectomy back in March 2007. In no time you will be up and around, enjoying food and life again! I can't believe it's been nearly 10 months for me. I definitely have no regrets, and I can assure you once you are feeling better (and more " normal " ) you will feel the same way. As for , thank you for the update. She is a strong spirit and has had such a positive outlook that I know she will come through this. While nobody wants to have these kinds of setbacks, especially to have to undergo a second surgery, at least they found it before she went home so it could be dealt with. and her husband will be in my prayers. Please keep us up to date if you hear anything else. Love, in NY michelle and kristina achalasia > Hello everybody, > Things are going okay with me. I'm still in Pittsburgh. While we are all praying for and wishing her the best for a smooth recovery going forward, I couldn't help but read your note and wonder how you are holding up. I am sure that hearing the news of 's complications cannot be easy for you, and I'm sure your mind is now racing with questions and possible doubts about your own surgery. Guest guest
Hello Kristi, I am sort of a newbie as far as posting. I am so glad to hear your surgery went well, and I wish you the very best. It kind of freaked me out too when I heard about as my 'ectomy is February 7th. But I know that will be fine, and I am praying for her quick recovery from this set back. In VA > > > > Hello everybody, > > Things are going okay with me. I'm still in Pittsburgh. Guest guest
Hi a, So sorry to hear of the set backs with . Just when you think you are out of the woods this pops up - i too had a collapsed lung and the other half collapsed in 95, so i know what she is going through. But she should be able to get over this OK. She will have to watch her lungs for the next few years though and be very stringent if she comes down with a cold or whatever to make sure it doesn't go to her lungs. The main problem will be having another long op so close to the previous one - she will be very tired from the anaesthetic for quite a while i should think. Give her our love and tell her to remain positive - this is only a set back and she will be fine in the long term. In the meantime - the prayers are on the way already.
