Guest guest
had her surgery yesterday. It went very well and she is recovering in ICU. They only had to remove the portion of the esophogus that was bad, so the entire esophogus was not removed. They made two incisions, one below the stomache and one in the neck. They said that this was the preferred method and should ease her recovery. She woke up today and was able to speak with (her son) some. They anticipate moving her out of ICU tomorrow. I'll post some more tomorrow. (daughter-in-law)

Guest guest
, That's great that she made it to a private room. Do you know if she's anywhere near the nurses station?? Just from my experience, Dr. Rice will want her as close to the station as possible, so tell her not to be surprised if he moves her room if she's too far down the hall. I had a nice private room too, but he deemed it to be too far away and moved me to a double room right across from the nurses. Again, thanks for the updates and please tell her I am thinking of her. in NY ---- chmorga52000 <ctjmorgan@...> wrote: > Hi all. Just wanted to give another update.
