Not sure what to say to these testimonials. Ban xia xie xin tang is

used to treat upper digestive dysfunction due to cold damp in the

stomach. Gui zhi tang is used to treat channel pathologies in the

upper back and one kind of flu. Both of them warm the channels.

They are not specifically for achalasia which is a western diagnosis

and not Chinese medicine. In 5 years in China studying and working -

I never saw an achalasia patient. I suppose these formulas could be

used but I have no experience with them being used to treat

achalasisa or anything similar in Chinese medicine. I went on the

Chinese language equivalent of Medline and found nothing there.

People are trying whatever they can find. I will help you as I can

to access these formulas although I do not use SunTen. I use a

different manufacturer that meets certain US standards.

Hi Quincia,

I found a website that sells the Sun Ten Pinellia Combination (ban

xia xie xin tang) but it's in tablet form. What form do you buy it

in? tea leaves? Sorry for the silly question.

Xie xie!
