Hi Theresea,

You wrote:

Could he be shifting from

the light/energy loss issue and focusing more on his germ issue? and would

that result in less anxiety when interrupted in the ritual around energy

loss?

Yes, you are very insightful. This could well be the reason. I wrote about this

last week, but often during E & RP the symptoms

shift. The one thing you're working on gets better and then a few new things get

worse. But eventually it all gets better so

don't be discouraged.

Take care,

in San Diego

Well, well, well, Theresa, so good to hear from you! I am so happy the

gastrectomy did the trick and you are well now. I remember how worried we all

were

when you were having such a tough time.

I don't know whether you remember me, as you weren't posting a lot while I

was on my journey. I had my GR-DS with Dr. K, November 7, 2002, have lost 124.5

pounds, have started back to work part time (after being off work for ten

years), and have abundant energy. I am having a tummy tuck and hernia repair on

February 10.

You have done fabulously well, and I was happy to read you have the urge to

go back to work.

You HAVE been gone too long, and I hope you keep in closer touch!

Hugs and blessings,

Ann

It is so good to hear from you. I remember you. I stopped to see you

on what we all hope was your last stay in DRMC. And everyone has always

spoken so kindly of you and your daughter - even tho they knew you were

probably lurking out there somewhere! Your good health is something we

all want to celebrate!

Bobbe - <95 pounds> [but who's counting?] If you can dream it... you

can do it! God, give me the dream that you planned for my life.

(Don't postpone joy.)

Welcome to our group. YOu are obviously very well experienced in

advocating and researching for yourself - that will serve you VERY well

with achalasia as it's very rare and you have to do some digging to get

what you want. You have taken a huge step in finding us - we have a

collective knowledge that is truly amazing and experience that combined

reaches into the thousands of years!!

You are fortunate in that you have several really respected,

experienced doctors in your general area.

Check out Dr. Richter who is a GI at Temple in Phillly. Dr. Rice

is a surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic or my surgeon, Dr. Luketich

who is head of the heart, lung and esophageal surgery center at the

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. L just did my

esophagectomy on Jan. 11th, the nurses and staff are great.

Good luck and keep reading and posting here - we're happy to help.

Take Care,

- in NC
