Guest guest
I had read of people noting pain on the roof of their mouth and feeling it to be an achalasia symptom. I seem to have moved to a different situation...I get blisters in my mouth, especially on the gums where my wisdom teeth used to be. Yesterday I experienced an event that was even different than that....I was sitting eating lunch with a co-worker and out the blue a huge blister formed at the back of the roof of my mouth to the point of pain and choking. It exploded eventually and was full of blood. Kind of disgusting and painful. I wrote to Dr. Pellegrini immediately. His response was that this was not a symptom of achalasia. Has anyone else had any experience remotely similar? Jan

Guest guest
I went to see my primary care provider and it seems that I badly " burned " the soft palate of my mouth. The chips I was eating had a lot of cayenne pepper in them. I've never had a reaction to that before. The doctor could not relate this event to achalasia, but we did discuss the possibility that acid reflux could make a person's mouth more sensitive to things than it used to be. Guest guest
Thank you. I haven't had regurge issues since October so this situation was a strange surprise. I am wondering more now though about oral health issues and Achalasia. Take care, Jan > > > > > > Jan, > > > > > > I've never had anything like that!
