Guest guest
Has anyone an appointment with him for the near future? Has anyone visited with him recently. Would anyone have his email address and phone number handy? Guess what... I have a new foster pup, a female GSD. She flew in from Kansas City Missouri yesterday. I did the educating of the adoptive (previous rescue) parents, they decided they weren't up to handle all of the manipulations and special feeding. So, long story short, we went up to Texas A & M as soon as she touched down. Repated the diagnostics - you can see her megaesophagus physically just by staring down her throat. Despite all, she is in excellent body condition thus far. I have a week to get her turned around a bit via physical manipulations and home cooked nutrition. Then we go back. In the interim, I would like to contact Dr. Rice (today if possible). I will do everything in my power short of mortgaging the house and selling my soul to the devil to get him down here. Marina has Achalasia... we are tentatively considering esophagectomy for her. This procedure has not been successful in dogs before. I am hoping that Dr. Rice will be interested enough to come down and consult with the surgeon of choice here. Please send Zen and prayers along with contact number and email address - wish us luck! A photo of the gal is at the top of this page if you would like to see her: http://www.caninemegaesophagus.org/A_Home_for_Talulua.html I always knew this day would come - I just thought it would be later. This is a huge mountain for me.. and I don't ski <G>. Wish me luck of persuasion! This could be ground breaking -for the dogs, and who knows, maybe for medical science? Best to all - how is - , weigh in, please! I don't see your name amongst the last 20 or so posts and want to know how you are doing. Now to catch up with everyone else as soon as I can. Duty calls ... know that you are *all* in my thoughts and prayers! Hugs, Peg
Guest guest
Peg, Keep up the work with the dogs, youre doing great. I have just started helping at a local rescue charity that presently has 17 dogs and 3 cats that were either unwanted or strays. I have only been 3 times so far and would take them all if I could but already have a rescued terrier and a pedigree GSD.
