Guest guest
Hi Dan, I have been waiting around for my local docs to give me direction but the communication has been so poor that I picked up my records yesterday and will proceed without their input. I travel to New Orleans and Manhattan to see carcinoid specialists so the two hours to Philly will seem a blessing. I'm planning on starting there with Temple and/or Jefferson.I was about to say that I don't think I'm aspirating but I saw my PG yesterday who said I have a touch of bronchitis. It's frustrating how quickly things change. One day I can eat a bit, the next I can't, then next it hurts, then it doesn't.... There seems to be no consistency. It reminds me of my kids when they were infants. As soon as I thought I had them figured out, they changed and entered a new developmental phase and I had to start all over again. Since I've heard nothing from my doctors about how to proceed I would be totally stressed if I didn't have this group to bounce things off of so I'm very thankful for everyone's input and guidance. burg, PA Posted by: " Hoffman" rp518dan@... rp518dan Fri Apr 11, 2008 5:57 am (PDT) Hi Theresa,When is your appointment with a specialist?burg is a ride from Philly and from Baltimore, but I think it's worth every drop of gas. I had afriend in Lancaster who was misdiagnosed and treatedas a "hysterical woman" by the patronizing countrydocs out there. You can't wait. Aspiration is not ajoking matter. Neither is malnutrition. My condition worsened fast. The botox which held meover to the surgery was a lifesaver because it let melive almost normally for three months. There is somedisagreement on the topic here. Anything is betterthan aspiration in the middle of the night andstarving yourself.Remember, when it comes to your body, the mostimportant decision maker in your life is YOU! You haveto take charge and you have to take charge now.Dan _____________________________________________________________Click here to compare rates and find the best deal on renting a car.
