Guest guest
FEEL BETTER SOON ISABELLA!!!!!! Dawn Update on Isabella Hi all,Just got a call from Romeo. He was on his way to Isabella just now. Looks like she is doing very well, as she was moved to a normal room yesterday! She was still very sleepy and in pain yesterday, but the doctors and nursing staff are looking after her very well. They gave her some extra morphine to deal with the pain. I sent Romeo a text message earlier today containing your good wishes, so he could show them to her (if he is allowed to switch on his cell for a moment). He wasn't able to speak to her much yesterday, which is probably a good thing as she will not be aware of the pain too much.Again, thank you all for you kind messages. I hope you dont mind me not replying to them individually, as I haven't got a computer around. I said to Romeo he could call me anytime if he felt like it and if he has any news. Will send you an update then.Take care and talk to you soon!Hugs from Astrid __________________________________________________________You rock. Guest guest
Hi all, i just talked to Romeo, who was on his way home, after visiting Isabella. The best news was that they removed the big tube from her throat already on Thursday. The pain is a lot better, so the morphine dose has been reduced. The main issue now is nausea. They give her something for that, but it is making her sleepy and absent. She is awake most of the time, but doesn't talk much (yep, she clearly isn't herself yet) She also isn't up to receive visitors yet. Romeo wanted to take the boys over to see her tomorrow, but she wasn't ready for them yet. She is definately improving, but it is a small step forward every day. Up to now, Isabella gets her food through the PEG, but they plan to give her food " the normal way " on Monday, after first checking there are no leaks. I have let Romeo know our thoughts are with both of them and that we realise how hard this must be on him too. If I don't hear anything before, I will try to call again on Monday to see how they are doing. Will send you an update as soon as I know anything. Love from Astrid ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ You rock. Guest guest
Astrid, Thanks, again, for keeping us updated on Isabella! I'm sure she's relieved to have that tube out, and hopefully, the nausea issue will be resolved quickly! Andy, Your reply may be a bit O/T, but I'm so glad you've found something to do to help ease your loneliness! This has been a tough year for you, but helping others (and for me, older people or four-legged friends would be tops on my list to help) is a great thing to do! Good luck in your new endeavor! in Michigan > > Astrid, > Thats good news about Isabella - she seems to be doing as you say ' a step > forward each day' and thats all we can ask for. > > How did your holiday go? Guest guest
, Thanks for letting me off ;-) I mentioned I was good at DIY too so they will probably have me rebuilding the kennels in no time. Don't mind though - will help where I can. Andy On 05/04/2008, let45ride <brendacoyle@...> wrote: Astrid, Thanks, again, for keeping us updated on Isabella!
