Guest guest
Hi all, I am freaking out a bit here, I am really getting scared. Has anyone of you experienced the "new esophagus" being so closed with scar tissue that not even fluids go down anymore? I regurgitate even water. Tomorrow is dilatation day and I've set my hopes on that one. I know it's not unusual to undergo one or more dilatations a week, my Dutch -ectomy friend had them twice a week soon after his -ectomy and he does fine now. I am hoping to get them on a thus frequent basis as well as of tomorrow, as this really is no way to recover. As I regurgitated water a minute ago I got so scared. I wonder what will happen when the scar tissue has really grown the full round, if there's no opening left. Of course I don't know whether that's the case or not, but it sure feels that way. Will they have to do surgery then, or will they be able to open it while doing the gastro-endoscopy? Anyone have any experience on this one? Boy oh boy, when will this thing finally come to a happy ending??? Love, Isabella
