On a cookery programme on TV this morning, the chef made a paste out of

groundnut oil and fresh lime juice and turmeric, cumin and ginger and coated

pieces of haddock in it then fried them.

He mentioned that he believed that turmeric was used as an antiseptic in India.

 

I thought I would pass this onto the Group as a recipe suggestion, as a way to

use turmeric. (reference recent discussion on its anti-inflammatory properties).
