Guest guest
Hi all, not sure if any more than one or two might remember me. My then, 14 year old son, Adam, was diagnosed with Achalasia. I came to this site seeking information, help, and insight into this disease to be able to make a reasonably educated decision on my son's behalf. Through asking many questions, and many members being willing to share their knowledge, I feel I came to the right decision for Adam. I am happy to be able to let you know that Adam is fast approaching the one year aniversary of his procedure done by Dr. Fuller in CA. I'm sorry, but I don't recall the precise name of the procedure, but my guardian angel, Sandy, will know it. Being the bad parent I am, I don't have hard numbers for Adam's progress, but rest assured, they are remarkable! Adam has gained close to 30 lbs. and I would guess, shot up a couple inches. He has had zero problems...zero! Could it be youth, good doctors, good procedure, or all of the above? Many, many thanks to the members of this site, for your help, and mostly for being here for me when I was so completely freaked out about my son's diagnosis.
