Guest guest
Hi All Things are going from bad to worse just now. Remember me mentioning that a lot of bile was leaking out of my stoma site around my Jejunostomy feeding tube? Well it is leaking very bad at night and no matter how thick the dressings are I have to set the alarm clock twice during the night to wake me up to change the dressings as they are soaked each time. I phoned my General Surgeons secretary the other day and told her that things are a lot worse and that as well as bile leaking out at night it had started to leak out in the day now. The secretary said that she will get the General Surgeon himself to phone me at home to save me travelling to see him. Well I had an interesting phone call yesterday from my General Surgeons secretary appologising that the General Surgeon was in Theatre doing an emergancy op.. and offered me an emergancy admission there and then or to see him in clinic as an emergancy next Monday at the earliest. I have opted for the appointment next Monday. I am scared that something is going on with my Liver. My swallowing is getting worse and this bile leak on top of everything else is getting me down. I happens mainly and at it's worse at night although I have said that it is starting to leak in the day now. I have to use my feeding tube at night because I can only swallow the equivalent to 1 small yoghurt pot 2 times in any one day. Anything else and I get these severe pains in my throat when food gets stuck.
Guest guest
Dear , What's left for me to say here? I guess only that you should stop being so patient... Why don't you opt for the emergency admission??? Hasn't your body given you enough signals yet? Has your fever at least gone, or is that one still there as well? If you don't get yourself admitted, than please do your utmost to at least speak to your surgeon on the phone on what could be wrong here. Things go from bad to worse, exactly your own words, ! If you don't reach him per phone, Google his e-mail address and mail him. Please don't be as patient as you have been lately, , you need medical care and not some secretary making sure you need to wait and wait and wait!!! Take care, girl!
