It goes down easty, tastes great and generally enjoy myself while consuming it. I just wanted to throw that out there, in case people haven't tried it in awhile. Guest guest
I’m glad to hear you all say this about ice cream. I have been eating lots of ice cream (at night) for the past several years. During the same time, my esophagus problems have been getting much worse. Also, lots of stress at my former job and family stress (my dad died, etc). I assumed I was eating the ice cream as “comfort food” due to the stress in my life. Now, after reading all these posts, I realize that I was hungry and could eat the ice cream comfortably. Of course, I have gained a ton. L I’m scheduled for another Heller Myotomy on June 9. (My first was in 1974.) I’ll be really glad to get that done and get rid of all this pain. Just reading how much easier the laparoscopic surgery is on our bodies is such a relief. Jan Dolph, Portland Ice Cream Since my A has gotten a little worse. Guest guest
I make small batches all of the time. I usually just make it when I am ready to eat it, but I sometimes have more than I want per serving, so I freeze that in a mason jar, and just set it out about 1/2 hour before I want to eat it. > > Hi everyone - I need some advice: > > I'm planning to make a trio of ice creams for a small birthday party. I have 1 litre of half and half frozen into cubes and frozen mango and strawberry. I was planning to make a chocolate, mango and strawberry. Has anyone ever made small batches and can I do it ahead of time and refreeze everything? Does refreezing turn it into a big frozen chunk? If so, can it be microwaved for a few seconds to break down some of the ice crystals? > > Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. > > Leannne >
Guest guest
I make ice cream often and freeze if when I make more than we eat right away. The frozen ice cream Is a frozen block. I let it sit on the counter for a good 30 minutes and if that is not enough I zap it in the microwave. I have wondered about partially thawing it and then putting it back into the VM to soften it a bit. I don't know if that will work or not. I think I'll give that a try soon.
