Guest guest
Well, here I am recovering from the Heller Myotomy I had done two weeks ago (6-12-08) at the University of Washington by Pellegrini. It hurt less than I thought it would. I went home the next day and I'm still a bit sore. This whole thing has happened so fast I don't think my family doc is even aware of the diagnosis let alone the surgery. I'm feeling kind of low today. The upper scars look pretty bad-like holes dug out of the fatty tissue-and I don't want my husband to see me now. At least now I can eat. I'm having a problem with heartburn in the morning. Believe it or not pudding is the quickest fix. I have been running down the stairs at 7:30 AM most mornings to get a 4 ounce Jello Pudding cup out of the fridge. I eat it slowly and it stops the heartburn. I'm also taking two Aciphex pills a day. I wanted to wait until I was feeling better to sort out the reflux/heartburn problem. Do I really need to take two pills a day? What do other people who have had the same surgery take? Is any particular type of antacid that works best? Gotta go. Another headache.
