Guest guest
Hi Remember me saying that I have problems with bile leaking out of my stoma and waiting to see endoscopist about this? Well I've been told on the phone and I have received a letter this morning telling me that there is a 10 - 12 week waiting list for me to see this endoscopist/gastroenterologist. On the phone I was told that since this is unaceptable to the General Surgeon who referred me I shall have the first cancellation of any appointment that comes along. We'll see. My General Practicioner is back from leave next week and I have made an appointment to see him for a chat as things are getting to the stage where I cannot change the dressings around the feeding tube on the stoma without bile running down my tummy from the stoma. I also have problems with webbing in my little bit of oesophagus in my throat, I know this as this has been seen during the last endoscopy. I am annoyed and am going for a walk to calm down as getting myself worked up isn't going to help is it?

Guest guest
Hi , Sorry for not responding to your post sooner, but I've got many things to take care of myself right now. The kids have their summer holidays and thus are around the house a lot, which prevents me from taking my rest. Furthermore I am over at my GP's almost daily now because of extra B12 injections I need as my anaemia has gotten worse and so have the tiredness and heachache that come along with it. My GP has also put me on iron meds and folic acid, this as to try to get me in shape before we leave for Italy (just one more week, I cannot wait!). Furthermore at the moment I am hardly able to eat again, but hey, Wednesday is dilatation day again, so I don't worry. Thank God for that J-tube, I just wouldn't want to miss that thing for anything in the world right now. Plans were to get the thing removed September 3rd, but I don't think I will. The tube doesn't give me any troubles anymore, things have settled down for it and it just helps me in my hardest days, it keeps me going and is being a very dear friend to me -LOL-. Now back to your case, , why don't you just go over to the ER??? If over here things were the way they are with you now, , one would immediately be sent over to the ER to get things sorted. If the doctor that needs to see you isn't in at the moment, they put out the " beep " for him and he needs to come within a few hours. It's just not right to wait so much longer, things are worsening. Now you are waiting for someone to cancel his appointment, but what if nobody does? How much worse will you let things become? I don't see why you need to be so patient. It's your life, take it in your own hands, please! Love, Isabella Update late appointment Hi Remember me saying that I have problems with bile leaking out of my stoma and waiting to see endoscopist about this? Guest guest
Hi Thanks Isabella for your encouragement. Have been to the A & E but they had to turn me away as there were no free beds available to admit me. The docs apologise but I will be monitored until I can get an appointment and to get admitted to the hospital I must be at deaths door! I will get it sorted out one way or another. Enjoy your hols with the family. Thank goodness for the J Tube eh.
