Guest guest Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 By all means make sure you get your breathing issues checked out but remember it could be some reflux or some leftovers in your E. I used to wake up (only a couple of times a year) feeling like I couldn't breathe because I had aspirated something. I'll still wake up coughing a bit once in a while because since we don't have any peristalsis, some of the foods we eat stay around longer than they should. Make sure that you don't eat anything for about 2-3 hours before you go to bed to give your E time to clear. I also drink a cup of hot herbal tea every night before bed to help it clear. You may find that that helps. Do investigate everything though to make sure all your cardiac/respiratory systems are good.
