Guest guest
I thank for bringing to our attention the " wiki " site, which I just checked out and joined. The first thing I did was to check to see if my gastroenterologist, Dr. Traube, was listed. He was, but unfortunately, he was listed as a surgeon. No problem, I could edit/correct it myself. However, it brings to mind the caution one should have in reading these listings, that there could be errors there. I also understand that there are costs associated with these sites, and often sponsors are invited to advertise, in order to cover these expenses. One of the sponsors is a company with a long history of ripping off achalasians by selling the product Achlitin. This product and the promotional materials supporting it have been discussed here at length. It's a shame that a web site created to help achalasia sufferers is supported by a company whose main purpose is to rip off those same people. Regardless of the negatives, I believe that this site will serve a greater purpose and prove helpful to those in need of information. Re: Spasms - What Medications Does Everybody Take To Stop Them? I've added a couple of recommended doctors at the wiki directory, http://achalasiadoctors.wetpaint.com. Everyone is welcome to join the wiki and add doctors who are highly experienced in treating achalasia patients, or fill in any missing information about doctors who are already listed. in PA ------------------------------------
