Guest guest
Hello, Just wanted to share that Tia had an (almost) 2 year check up today. We traveled to Seattle Children's Hospital for a barium study and appt. with her surgeon, Dr. Waldhausen. Tia is doing very well. There was some " pooling " of barium before it entered her stomach but it did enter. The doctor just stressed to Tia that she really needs to chew, chew, chew, have more frequent small meals and lots of water. Like , Tia also gets full very easily. Today was a very positive day. The doctor said unless we need to see him, he will plan on seeing us in 2 years. I got the peace of mind that I was hoping for. One more week of summer then Tia will be in 6th grade, middle school, she is really excited. I have all the paperwork in order to allow her to have water and snacks with her at all times. I have already contacted the counselor and nurse and they have been very supportive. Fast pitch is over and now we are into soccer. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Today was definitely a great day! Wishing many great days to everyone! Hope your days are sunny. and Tia
Guest guest
Dear and Tia, I am so pleased to hear that things are going so well for you both. It's wonderful to hear the positive stories- we need that balance, as we suffer with those who are having a hard time. Please give Tia a big hug from me and tell her that she has a right to be proud of her courage and persistence.  Lots of love from Ann (who now seems to have the pseudonym of Lilly of London - sounds a bit naughty to me)XX From: Bourm <cbourm@...> Subject: Tia had two year check up today achalasia Date: Friday, 22 August, 2008, 6:14 AM Hello,  Just wanted to share that Tia had an (almost) 2 year check up today. Guest guest
Hi & Tia, Congratulations on your 2 year check-up! I'm glad they only did a barium study and not an endoscopy. I've had more than I can count, and it would be very unpleasant for a child. (Mind you, the other tests are worse!). I wish you the best! achalasia@...: cbourm@...: Thu, 21 Aug 2008 22:14:53 -0700Subject: Tia had two year check up today Hello, Just wanted to share that Tia had an (almost) 2 year check up today.
