update re: pain, burning post myotomy

Hi everyone, just thought I'd give an update. met with surgeon today.

He said he thinks maybe a nerve got pinched at port site when he put in

stitch at the fascia. He said he had not seen this happen with this

surgery, but in lap surgeries done further up in abdomen( primarily

lung surgeries) he has seen this happen.He prescribed neurontin,

hopefully this will calm things down, If no improvement in a couple

weeks, he said he can go in and remove the stitch( about a 20 minute

procedure). Hopefully this is what the problem is. Like I told him, I

can live with the swallowing issue, although not perfect,I no longer

vomit and food eventually gets down, but this pain really limits my

movement, working etc. Thanks to everyone for all your input. Hopefully

I can return favor in some way sometime!! from Mass

tracy, surgeon report sounds good....like an easy fix.  hopefully, the medicine

will take care of it!
