jewels- bummer. I hadn't counted on doc wanting repeitive testing. I was

thinking I could go there with existing results and have him review and schedule

surgery. with all the trouble I'm having with insurance I'm sure they won't pay

for more test.even at uva every test doc ordered had to be preapproved,

including anesthesia. yes you can have an endosopy but we won't pay for

anesthsia. my husband is self employed it's just him a one other guy. there is

no way he can be away for more that a week at a time. what about the hospital

room. at our local hospital there is a window bed in the patients room where

parent can sleep. do they let parents do this at cc? if I had to pay for a room

over an extended time I don't think I could do it. will they let you sleep in

your car in the parking lot? our issue is we make to much a year to qualify for

assistance but not enough that we can go without working for any length of time.

this summer we had to take a second on the house because one of the work trucks

died and we had to have it to keep the business going. between that and the co

pays and hospital bills and all the time I have missed from work running to

appointments and hospital stays. we are already living hand to mouth every

month. and christmas...oh crap...maybe this going to cc is just a fantasy. I

really was hoping it could be a four day event which I think I could swing. I

hope the hospital will accept 10 dollar a month payment for the rest of our

lives. ok don't focus on the money part just get there. sobering...angela

dakota's gi doc is refusing to write us a letter of medical necessity

which will help us in our quest to have dr rice operate.

dr barrette barnes of vua want us to let dr bradely rodgers operate on

dakota. he says because he works with dr rodgers he is obligated to refer to

my son to dr rodgers because he, dr barnes, " depends on his relationship "

with the doctors at uva.

since when does a doctor not consider what the patient wants.

i am cring so hard right now i can't even see how type.

please please help me. should i get a lawyer?

i only wants dr rice,

i don't doubt dr rodgers is a good surgeon but he has only done 7 of

these procedures and one of the seven had to go back.

he has not kept tract of his previous patients and refuses to give us any

phones numbers or information regarding his patient outcomes. when asked

about the fact dakota has eosinophilic esophagitis and the impact it could

have on surgery he, dr rodgers said " he didn't know. "

when ask how dakota gastropresis will impact the surgery he said " i don't "

know.

what the hell... please if anyone can advise me, please...angela

As far as more test..yes Dr Rice will do ALL HIS OWN TEST over

wants his stuff done there by his people to know its done right and

so on.
