Guest guest
Hey Steve - the scar tissue from -ectomies is different than from the fundos. I haven't had as many dilations as Isabella but I've had 7 or 8 now in this past year, with scraping of the tissue as well - otherwise the scarring at the anastamosis becomes so big that nothing goes down. Each dilation is more effective and lasts longer as time goes on. It is very common with -ectomies. Who is your doctor that you've been seeing? I'm wondering if there may be someone else near you that you can see for a 2nd opinion. Although you state that the doc is a specialist - you mentioned an -ectomy with a colonic interposition - NOT the recommended choice - most -ectomies are done with a gastric pull up. There are many papers to support this information. I hope that you find relief of some sort soon.
