Guest guest
Re: Vomiting and distension from calcium supplements Does anyone in the group have a reaction to calcium supplements. I find that after consuming Caltrate 600 D plus calcium supplements (chewable), I get stomach distension, LUQ pain, and vomiting. The pain and vomiting stop when I stop consuming the calcium supplements, even though I seem to be able to tolerate a once-a-day chewable multivitamin supplement. Also, I think there may be an association with soluble fiber in oatmeal. At any rate, I can't sort it out. So, I am trying to get my daily calcium through diet, such as wedges of low-fat cheddar cheese. Ginny
