Susi,

Thank you so much! The one good thing (and this is probably the ONLY

good thing) about doing a tape that is mostly floorwork, is that nobody

notices your form because they are all on the floor themselves looking

down at the groun and not noticing you on the tape :) I'm sure my form

on some of that floorwork is not exactly up to par...but nobody really

notices....he he. If you look at my face at the end when we are doing

the cool down with all that wax on, wax off stuff, you can see that I'm

about to fall over and I'm praying that it's almost over...lol. I

really was exhausted, but I'm glad that I was still able to keep going,

without passing out. Thanks for the compliment...be prepared for some

sore stomach muscles in the morning!

Hurrayyyyyy !!!!!! ((((((((((((Casey))))))))))))) You're right, no

one understands how these things are so monumental to us. I remember the

first time Rudy actually made a sound at 3 months. They had been afraid that

he had some hidden heart problem and he hadnt even cried much less cooed. I

was in the kitchen and he started crying and I, of course, did too!! :) It

sounds like was just biding her time and now she's off to the

races!!!!

Way to go !

I know exactly how you are feeling........for all those who point out

her delays, or what she is not doing, not to mention watching her twin

do milestones with ease.............it's very exciting to see her

acomplish her milestones! :)

Love to hear more good stuff!

Tara {Ds} and are almost 22 months.....both self feeding, using a

spoon and bowl, I love that! Frees me up, a little! Tara is also on the

" verge " of independent walking! Thats very exciting to me, last Summer

it was the pits going to BBQ's/pool party and carring Tara everywhere,

or keeping her in her stroller, if we did " let her go " she was either

dirty/muddy or almost bloody knees! Even in our own backyard, playing

with her three siblings.......she can't keep up with just

crawling.......AND I'm waiting also for her steady walking so I can put

a dress on her! I have so many cute brother/sister outfits, where Tara's

is a dress, but she can't crawl in a dress, slows her down even more,

don't want that now! Oh well................

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{GO GIANTS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

sorry just had to add that........remember, I'm from N.J. and grew up 1

mile from Giant's stadium!!!!!!!

Casey,

What great news about 's progress..That is great about the varied

things she is eating...Sara (age 6) still prefers softer textures and is

pretty limited in the things she will eat--spaghetti every meal would be fine

with her--It is sooo exciting when Sara is successful at something we've been

working on, so I do understand your wanting to share 's successes

with us all--please continue to do so.

To all you moms beginning to work on potty training, which is what we are in

the middle of now--I hope it goes well. What we are doing is attempting to

get the routine down, so we begin the day with Sara going to the bathroom,

with or without power struggle, right when she gets up--Bringing our kitty

into the bathroom is the reward. (Kitty runs from me now in the morning

knowing what her job is). Then she goes at 10:30 and at 1:30 at kindergarten

and her aide fills out a chart with information related to if she went with a

power struggle, if she actually went potty and if she left the bathroom with

or without a power struggle--her reward is lots of praise and stickers.

I tend to get lax after school, but do need to continue her on a schedule,

then, as well--it's just with after school activities, etc., I often don't

think about it. Progress is slow; however, I received a very positive note

home from school last week, that Sara initiated going to the bathroom on her

own--that is a huge step, and of course, our ultimate goal. I know she will

get there and when she does we will celebrate big time!

So sorry about your Auntie, , and I have Nicala in my prayers that she

will recover, quickly from pneumonia.

Hugs to all,

Marcia

Congratulations!!!!!!

I was thinking he was a little more than support person by the way he looked

at you that day!!! But I was afraid to offend you by asking...LOL!

I am so glad you found someone special. It is so hard to find even ONE

special partner in life....and you have found a second one!!! How lucky is

that????

I can imagine it is hard for your family to accept, but they will get over

it. Once they see just how happy you are.

Thank you for sharing the news!! You will have to come back for an

occasional visit, stay on the list of course, and SEND PICTURES!!!!!!

Wow...this is just WAY exciting!!!!!

hugs,

She must have learned it from me ÜÜ

Way to go !!! That is SO cool.....I am looking forward to a couple milestones....50 pounds (still 9 to go) and under 230 (almost there....2 pounds give or take Ü)

I love reading these posts because they are so encouraging....

I know that DAILY I have 2 choices.....stick to plan.....go off plan.....I then know that there are subsequent results to the above choices. Right now I am choosing to stick to plan...

You know that is a great way to think about it. Only 2 choices! It sorta narrows down what you really need to do. Maybe thats how I need to look at things:)

First mom take a breath...

I have not had the opportunity to follow you and dakotas story.  But let me see

how I can help you.

I am the mom of a kid with Achalasia.   I have an HMO.

First how critical ( this is a question of dakotas health) are you to have the

surgery,

second, do you have a date set?

Third... is this guy your Primary care?

Now let me see if I can help you with your situation.  It is important to have a

primary care doctor that you can work with.  When we chose our current primary

care, I asked a number of questions.  The primary pediatrician we had told me HE

would call the shots cause HE was the doctor.

Pooh on that!! buddy...

So I called around to find a doctor who listens to THE MOM on what her instincts

are and who would work with me as my child has a RARE disorder. When I found

him, I called Healthnet and told them I wanted to change.  the changed me.  I

made the appointment and I picked an OLDER pediatrician who well seasoned, so I

knew he would not be an arrogant younger pup..

He asked me WHO I wanted Cameron to go see, I told him and poof .... that is

where we went.

I have had NO problems since then with any referrals.. My youngest feel down

some icy stairs last winter and fractured 2 verts in his back, we started at the

best at the top of pediatric neuroscience.... I am so done with Doctors thinking

they CALL the shots...

Girl, I will be happy to help however I can.  believe me I spent MONTHS CRYING

Looking for specialists for my kid...

I have walked many miles in your shoes...

Get a new ped... right away...

you might ask your specialist, what doctors refer the most to him.... that way

you work backwards...

Then call that doc and talk to them..

dakota's gi doc is refusing to write us a letter of medical necessity

which will help us in our quest to have dr rice operate.

dr barrette barnes of vua want us to let dr bradely rodgers operate on dakota.

he says because he works with dr rodgers he is obligated to refer to my son to

dr rodgers because he, dr barnes, " depends on his relationship "   with the

doctors at uva.

since when does a doctor not consider what the patient wants.

i am cring so hard right now i can't even see how type.

please please help me. should i get a lawyer?

 i only wants dr rice,

i  don't doubt dr rodgers is a good surgeon but he has only done 7 of

these procedures and one of the seven had to go back.

he has not kept tract of his previous patients and refuses to give us any phones

numbers or information regarding his patient outcomes. when asked about the fact

dakota has eosinophilic esophagitis and the impact it could have on surgery he,

dr rodgers said " he didn't know. "

when ask how dakota gastropresis will impact the surgery he said " i don't " know.

what the hell... please if anyone can advise me, please...angela
