Myotomy Re-Do with Dr. Rice

We made it home today from Cleveland where my husband had his myotomy

re-do (open)on 12/11/08. Overall, we give the hospital an A and of

course, Dr. Rice an A++. He was wonderful and we so loved his

confidence. I wish we would've gone there the first time. We arrived

in Cleveland on the 8th and were discharged Wednesday but remained in

town to have staples removed today. My husband says he can actually

feel a difference and according to Dr. Rice, once everything is healed

it will feel even better. My husband can sleep on his side now, too.

He really feels the surgery was successful and I pray he'll never have

to have another. I cried when he told me he could feel the food

dropping into his stomach! Anyone considering a myotomy or re-do

myotomy, please make it worth your while to see Dr. Rice. He is a fine

surgeon and has the most experience of any other doctor we researched.
