Guest guest
Hi guys, Oh boy, you won't believe this... Did I write about how lucky I felt without spasms just yesterday, guess what? I had a spasm this morning when I woke up. I couldn't believe it, but it simply is what it was. I recognise that feeling out of thousands. You know, it wasn't the severe pain that has you crawl up to the ceiling, it was far less intense. It didn't last the hours like it used to pre -ectomy, it lasted only a few minutes. But it was there and it did scare the hell out of me, I can tell you that. I realise that I have got a few centimeters of esophagus left in my neck. Could that little bit be affected by the achalasia as well? Well lets hope by cutting out the rest of the thing, they cut out the part that hurt the most and the longest, eh? It cannot be reflux by the way, as I took 2 Nexium 40's yesterday (as I had an orange I wanted to be on the safe side and had one early and one later on the day). Furthermore it felt like spasm, not like reflux. I am not down or anything because of this, it happened and that's it. I am not scared this will get worse and worse, I am just curious as to find out why and how this happened. I will ask my doc of course (Wednesday is dilatation day again). At the moment I am just happy, as my eating is going so tremendously well! I can really really have anything I like at the moment! It's just smaller portions, but it all goes down and makes me so happy. For the first time in ages I can honestly say without hesitation that I am so happy to have chosen the -ectomy and I am so happy with how I am doing and recovering right now. Things are headed in the right direction! Anyone any ideas or experiences on the post -ectomy spasm thing? Love, Isabella
