My esophagectomy was 25 February. I have always had a little bit of

trouble since the esophagectomy with a burning in my upper chest,

especially at night followed by lots of mucus (phlegm) coming up that

is yellowish/green in color.

When I last saw Dr. Rice on 27 October, he told me to start back on

the Aciphex, which I did. This past weekend, the burning became worse

and more and more mucus is coming up from my upper chest area…almost

like bronchitis.

I have not been to work in two days as I feel really awful. Do you

think this is related to the esophagectomy or something else?

I've just sent an email to Dr. Rice. This has me kind of scared.
