Guest guest
Sorry to hear that you are so down. If it's any consolation - I have just had a 'spike' in the amount of food I can eat and I've even put a few pounds back on. What I've noticed since my surgery is that I even out for a while (recovery wise) and then I get a little boost, then even out again. Hopefully, you're ready for a boost. I'm glad you've got an appoinment with your specialist soon, maybe there's something else that needs to be done. When you have your dilations - who does them? I found that going back to my surgeon, my dilations were MUCH more effective than going to my local GI. On the aspiration pneumonia thing - do you all still sleep elevated? I tried - right after my -ectomy - to sleep with just 2 pillows but I found that i would wake up feeling fluids 'sloshing' back up. I went back to my wedge and I've only had very mild aspiration in the night once since then. I've used a wedge since about 1983 and I've never once had pneumonia (and I used to be a smoker!) Maybe that will help prevent it in the future? - in NC
