Job Opportunities in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission

Location: Bangalore

A coordinating central consortium office is being set up to provide

administrative and technical support to recently funded PMTCT programs by

Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation to prevent Mother to Child

Transmission at 25 NGO-Private hospitals/nursing homes in Karnataka,

Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

This office will be located in Bangalore and has the following positions

available:

Medical Director

Administrative Director

Research Associate

Medical Director

Eligibility Criteria:

* A Medical Doctor with extensive experience in treatment of HIV or An

Ob-Gyn or Pediatrician with a minimum of ten years of experience

* Strong interest in and commitment to the field of HIV/AIDS prevention,

care, support and treatment issues

* Medical, scientific and clinical research knowledge of HIV and PMTCT

* Should have a vision for Prevention Mother to Child Transmission in India

* Strong interest in fostering collaborative atmosphere among the consortium

partners

* Strong interest in working with large number of groups and individuals.

* Should be willing to travel to various sites in Karnataka, Maharashtra and

Andhra Pradesh.

* Good communication skills

* Grant writing skills

* Experience in private sector will be an added asset.

Administrative Director

Eligibility Criteria:

* Experience in management of HIV-AIDS programs in Health sector

* Proven Accounting skills

* Proven Management skills

* Strong interest in and commitment to the field of HIV/AIDS prevention,

care, support and treatment issues

* Good writing and communication skills

* Strong interest in fostering collaborative atmosphere among the consortium

partners

* Interest in working with health care professionals from diverse areas

* Should be willing to travel to various sites in Karnataka, Maharashtra and

Andhra Pradesh.

* Strong interest in working with large number of groups and individuals.

* Experience with e-mail communication, work processing, spreadsheets, and

document management

Research Associate

* Experience in HIV-AIDS prevention and/or care and support programs

* Experience and interested in organizing scientific meeting or scientific

consultations

* Good writing and communication skills

* Strong interest in fostering collaborative atmosphere among the consortium

partners

* Strong interest in working with large number of groups and individuals.

* Advance experience with e-mail communication, work processing,

spreadsheets, and document management
