Dr. Dan , when asked on CNN how many of his patients had fully recovered in the last 15 years, chillingly stated " None. " " Recovery " with CFIDS has always been shakily defined. An early CDC recovery report found that a much higher percentage of people recover, but when you read the fine print it states that EVERY patient defined as recovered continued to have CFIDS symptoms (in other words, they weren't recovered, but in remission). With this in mind, I think most of us certainly HOPE for full recovery, but with a measured optimism. If a drug could give me some of my life back, I would still take it. MS has existed for - what - 150 years (?) - and almost nobody fully recovers. Why should we rule out a drug that might help people, just because it doesn't lead to " full recovery.
