Guest guest
Christie, >>Having just read the brilliant " bacteria revolution article " these are my >>reflections on the subject: > > Which article is this?? Did you manage to read it, with all the new and exciting stuff that has been happening to you? Here is the link again, just in case: http://www.radio.cbc.ca/programs/ideas/shows/bacteria/bacteria.html > > Referring to the on and off abx treatment mentioned below - did you feel > better on this protocal? If it is true that the bugs hide and then appear > when off abx, then it seems to make sense to follow this protocal. Yes, this would seem logical, but I'm sure there are complicating factors, like OTHER bugs which could also play a part and become resistant on this regimen. So we have to be aware of this (one more thing to be aware of, I guess!) > > But then last night when I was trying to sleep, I kept thinking about these > D bugs! Christie, it's all very involved, I have printed the article mentioned above and I have studied it in details, if you have the time/energy you could do the same and it will answer some of your questions re " all them d. bugs " . > Nelly - I'm to be on flagyl for at least 4 monthes. Perhaps I should ask > LLdoc (lyme literate doc) the pros and cons of each approach. It is > incouraging to hear that this did work for you! Well, I know it always improved me way beyond any other abx, but as I never seem to have any positive serologies on anything bacterial (except Jadin's rickettsia tests), I have always worked by inferring what might be at play. >With info from here and > another list, I feel a small bit of hope, and I am especially grateful to > you Nelly. YOu have really done your homeowork and shared your knowledge > with those who need it. Many people do, and that's the beauty of these lists, I am constantly learning lots and getting new perspectives on things. Pity our docs are not as interested in medicine as we are! >I still cannot believe my diagnosis! And yes, I > have taken abx's without doc knowing just to feel better! I just hope that > I haven't become resistant to the meds! You don't become resistant, the bugs do, so the trick is to erradicate them before they mutate and become resistant or before the resistant strains take over. It seems that spirochetes might have another prefered system of defense: changing their shape to evade detection and then reappearing once all danger has passed. > Take care, You too, and onward with new adventures!
