However you really cant take ritalin much after 4 oclock depending on your sensitivity if you want to avoid energizing your evening. It is not a blood level type drug - wears off after 4 hrs, so you can tailor it to your schedule. See el's post on sustained release ritalin and her evening period. I think I will try the sustained release, now that I know ritalin works for me. I am very interested in piracetam since several people mentioned it on line. What can you tell me about your experience/knowledge? Re dosage - I take 10 mgs in morn and 10 in early aft. If I have to be aware of anything or drive or read music, etc, I also take one in early eve which means I go to bed later (which I would do anyway if I am going out). In my experience there's no problem with taking ginko and/or PS with ritalin. They're not related chemically. Try each independently and see what works - no prescription nec. It is tricky to get a ritalin prescription unless you've got a pcp who'll read the various posts you bring in and be willing to try it. Reason is, it's an amphetamine, as is adderal. It does not have amphetamine type effects on me or anyone else I know who uses it for the purposes of clearing up brain fog - just kicks you into normal. Phosphytidyl serine is a " phosphalipid compound derived from soy lecithin and also a normnal component of the brain. Research has demonstrated that PS may aid brain and nerve cell functions " . My doc recommended it and my naturapathic doc endorsed it. ---------- >From: Martha Pfeiffer <kmpfeiffer@...> >katspring@... >Subject: blood flow to brain >Date: Fri, Dec 3, 1999, 6:18 AM > > >Hi.
