Christie - Are you familiar with MGN3? What luck did you have with it? It

was prescribed by my naturopathic physician (N.D.) specifically to raise

natural killer cell levels.

At the bottom of the CFIDS trough, about 1995, I had 11 NK cells. It is not

difficult to measure - I have had it done 4-5 times by different docs. My

doc said we would celebrate when I reached 20. One year later, after

numerous drips, supplements, etc, I had 19 NK cells. It wasn't until years

later that someone told me that below 50 was a serious danger zone. One of

the things I have used ( and my NK cell level is now normal) has been MGN3.

Anybody else with experience on this please reply?

Hi,

I have seen this supplement, but have not used it, nor has it been

suggested to me. How long did it take to have an effect with you? Also

was NK test an out of pocket expense?

Take care,

Christie - I dont see why the NK cell test should not be covered by

insurance - it's another blood test which two doctors have done for me

periodically and the insurance has never questioned me.

I cant say that the supplement MGN3 alone was responsible. I've taken an

awful lot of stuff over the last few years. Also , I didn't know about it

during the year when I went from ll to 19 NK cells, only used it over the

last year. However my N.D. is extremely good and works with a lot of cancer

patients on immune function. In addition, the ONLY thing this supplement

says it will do is increase NK cells. It is a proprietary formula, I think

mushroom based.

Lane Labs - 1-800-LANE-005 for " questions and comments " . I don't know if

you can get it outside a practitioner, but you can always ask. It is not

inexpensive (cant remember exactly) but seems the only serious game in town.

Cheers,
