The concept of an HIV Drop in Centre

Hi,

I am Priyanka Mahajan. I am working as a counsellor in a Drop-in Centre at Civil

Hospital, Thane, Maharashtra. (near Bombay). Thane is one of those districts of

Maharashtra where HIV prevelance is on the higher side.

Eventhough, I am working in a Drop-in Centre. I am actually not very clear about

the concept behind a Drop--in Centre. All the information I have gathered till

now, is very confusing. So, if the members of this fourm could, please send me

some information on concept of Drop-in Centre. What are the possible services

one could offer through an HIV drop in Centre.

The Centre where I am working right now is new. So I have to develope it. Please

guide me for that.
