Guest guest
hi all, had my vit d levels, parathryroid levels and ionized calcium levels taken as osteopenia.(try to rule out obvious causes) But, felt years in bed sleeping , being thin, heredity accounted for itlack off weight bearing activities could account for it. (step just below osteoporsis) anyhow, my md was trying to figure out why my unbound portion of calcium (ionized calcium) was so high.(the bound portion is bound to the protein in the blood) usually one would have a low albumin level to account for it or maybe some medication or suppliments was competiting for the calcium binding cite found on protein., or calcium levels low , or how much calcium i was using in all my suppliments etc etc. finally, ruled out obvious reasons all negative for me and he said: alkaloisis can cause high ionized calcium levels so i know i have alkalosis as my urnine ph as measured by a strip in the am, is always acidic. Another one of many manifestations of altered metabolsim by alkalosis in the body. he didnt comment on how it would impact my osteopenia as we mutually agreed to put me on fusomax but on pulse dosing, only one time a week..nor did he change any of my suppliments. just a thought in this puzzle somish
Guest guest
Well, did you read Dr. Cheney's note about exactly this... http://www.folkarts.com/idef/cheney_o2.htm ? The ways of correcting it are listed too.... We are currently awaiting for my Imuplus " Christmas Special' to arrive.... the next bunch will likely be a LARGE first order of Immunocol (at ~$60 a package) to take the 40% discount they offer on their website for your very first order ...
