Guest guest
Last Friday, I did a mock-trip to work (1 hr commute each way, visit to Company Store, drop in on friends and bosses) to assess a possible return to work this month. It was a disaster - triggered a flare up, so we'll see next month. BUT I had been doing two self-measurements and found the results interesting: Measurements: Control Pause (in Seconds) (see http://www.folkarts.com/idef/breathing.htm for more info) Urine pH (see http://www.folkarts.com/idef/urine_ph.htm ) using an uncalibrated pH meter (so relative numbers - not absolute numbers) Day before: CP: 28 seconds, pH 6.9 (keeps constant throughout the day) ---------------- Start of day: morning: CP 28 by 2 pm CP 14, pH 7.1 - lots of flare up symptoms: headaches, poor judgement, fever etc. ------------------- Next Day 8AM CP 13 - drove daughter to class. Night vision was off. Had to stop before returning home, fluids, rest 10AM CP 8, ph 7.1 - when I got back -- hits my full relapse pill box (full strength aspirin, 50% increase in antibiotics, B12, lots of orange juice, extra NADH, etc) 9PM CP 18 ------------------------------- 2nd Day 10 AM CP 27, ph 7 rest of day CP was ~ 18 ---------------------- 3rd Day pH 6.9, CP 28 ------------------------------------------------------------ Bottom line: CP seems to be an effective measurement of your energy reserves/availability - it is a simple way to determine if you are 'up' to do something (and thus avoid a crash later) or not. pH is not as sensistive but does modify itself.
