Guest guest
I used neurontin a few years ago. I have FM/CFS, autoimmune disease, and a reflex sympathetic dystrophy ( of the gyn sort). I was taking neurontin 300 three times a day and it helped alot, although it made alittle dull like a drunk. But I didn't care, feeling like you've had a couple glasses of wine was fine with me as I was always a happy drunk. After a year and a half it stopped working and began to increase my pains, making everything more sensitive with a burning quality. This was the same reaction I had to all the SSRIs,TCAs, Wellbutrin, ritalin, gabapentin, baclofen, all at extremely low doses. All that I can take is klonopin which makes me very sleepy. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm convinced I am upregulated in the serotonergic and adrenergic (sympathetic nervous system) receptors. I believe I am part of a subset of patients with CFS/FM that doesn't fit the majority as so many seem to do OK with these drugs. Lots of answers from you would be helpful to me in presenting this to those researchers " at the top " . Marilyn Seskin MD MWSesk@...
