Guest guest
Just an update, our 16 yr old is surrounded by CFS/FM folks, and understand that it may be contagious. Because of this, she is taking bromelain tablets daily (to prevent the CFS cycle getting established). This last week, we add Piracetam (an over the counter drug in most of europe) that also is a blood thinner with a different mechanism than bromelain ... we could not believe how much better her mental state improved. Not only that, now she is religious about taking the bromelain and piracetam every day with zero-reminders. She is so excited about being awake in her first classes at school etc.. Again, she does NOT have a CFS diagnosis, she has various characteristics that are shared by CFSers: * multiple food sensistivities * emotional liability (flared when she forgot the bromelain) * tiredness / low stamina and has been surrounded with people with CFS/FM diagnosis for 10+ years.. The first tablet she had was as an experiment (Laurie and I were already taking it), she was about to fall asleep at 7pm while studying for an exam in the morning and her ability to understand was disappearing totally... I could not believe the dramatic change that occurred within a hour: she had been on bromelain for 2 weeks before, so I suspect the two are interacting very much...
