Hi there. I am new to this list. I became ill with CFS in 1990 but was not

diagnosed until 1995.I am a phase 3, but have phase 2 residual toxicity.

Apparently, when you down-regulate the 2'5A RNaseL stuff, you become very

susceptible to colds, flu and other infections. These are the results of some of

the " discrete " immune defects that may be with us forever, (as I understand

it.)So, my CFS doctor put me on the Beta Glucan, which is a powerful immune

stimulant. I have been taking 4 caps a day of 425 mg. each. I am supposed to

take 6. However, this stuff is making me sick. I seem to get original CFS

symptoms...the worst of which is pain and theinfamous " CFS sore throat. " These

symptoms disappear when I don't take it. I have also been changed over to

ImmunoPro from Immunocal. The dosage for the change-over is much lower and then

increases over time as your body adjusts to it. The ImmunoPro is supposed to be

2 to 6 times more biologically active than Immunocal (whatever that means.)I was

extremely happy with the Immunocal as it radically changed my life for the

better within 3 days on one pak a day. I have taken it for about 2 years now.

BUT, I am not as happy with the ImmunoPro....although I have only taken it for

a few days now. The side effect of the ImmunoPro is supposed to be abdominal

gas and bloating and can be severe...until you are used to it.If anyone here has

taken these two products, would you please let me know if you experienced any of

the same things.....and does the ImmunoPro get better as you increase the

dosage.Thanks...................Laurion
