Is this a disease caused by an infectious agent that can be cured by killing the bacteria, infectious disease or virus that opportunistically tears us up? Or is this not a disease at all but a disorder or syndrome that can develop from many different triggers? Or is there an underlying disease/condition that is genetic or induced that alters our immune system or some other system that creates damage to the immune system thus allowing these opportunistic infections to tear us up? That's what we need to know. In mean time, I treat what I have been dxed with just like the rest of us and hope for the answer soon. Thanks, Al
