I seem to get original CFS symptoms...the worst of which is pain and theinfamous 'CFS sore throat.' These symptoms disappear when I don't take it. I have also been changed over to ImmunoPro from Immunocal. If anyone here has taken these two products, would you please let me know if you experienced any of the same things.....and does the ImmunoPro get better as you increase the dosage. " Laurion, I don't really have any info that will help, unfortunately. I too was recently put on the Beta 1,3/1,6 Glucan (by Cheney), a move my local doc agreed with. The pretesting for the ImmunoPro study and a CDSA from Great Smokies showed seriously compromised gut flora, despite the probiotics, lactoferrin, colostrum, etc. that I was on. In a brief fax consultation over the test results, Cheney recommended Saccharomyces boulardii and the Beta Glucan, 6 a day at 425 mg each for 20 days, then a maintenance dose of 100 mg a day. I've been on 6 a day for about ten days now and haven't noticed a thing. I'll be starting the ImmunPro any day now. I did not know Beta Glucan was an immune stimulant. But then I know virtually nothing about it, other than it was recommended to help with my poor gut flora. Did you start the Beta Glucan about the same time as the ImmunoPro? Can you tell which is causing what symptoms? I've had that problem in the past when I start two or more things very close together. It never hurts to check with your doctor. If it is Cheney, I've found the quickest (and cheapest) way is to send a fax about whatever concern I have. I usually get a call or fax back. Take care.
