Guest guest
From: Sandy Torenko <sandytor@...> Mrs. Myalgia (me) doesn't look a day over 30 and the dr. had the gall to look me in the face and say " As we get older, sometimes things don't function as well in our bodies as they used to..... " [Patti:] Yeah, I want to string them up by their thumbs when they say stuff like that. Like 30 is old age??? [Patti] Get this one. A friend of mine is older - she's 70 and she's had CFS for about 20 years. Bless her heart, she's still trying to get well so she can enjoy at least some of her years. You know what the docs told her? [Patti] " Why are you trying to get well? You're going to die soon anyway. " !!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Patti] Can you believe that? When she told me that this anger thing just rose up inside me and I wanted to smash the docs face in. So you see, as you get older, they just act jerkier towards you. [Patti] One might think that this is an isolated experience, but at least 4 docs have said the same thing to her!!! Could this be a chemical sensitivity? or possibly a line the dr. uses when she doesn't have a clue? [Patti:] From my experience it more likely the latter.
