Guest guest Posted March 11, 2002 Report Share Posted March 11, 2002 Legal experts discuss Environmental and AIDS issues The Telegraph March 10, 2002 NEW DELHI, MARCH 9: For a change it is not just environmentalists who were talking about the environment.Eminent legal luminaries of the country got together today to talk about environment and AIDS in a day-long seminar organised by the Society for Civic Rights and ODA, Japan. Attended by sitting judges of various courts and reputed lawyers, the seminar was an interactive session that lasted almost the entire day. Judges and lawyers also gave their views about AIDS. Inaugurated by Justice S. Rajendra Babu, the seminar was attended by Justice K.G. Balakrishnan of the Supreme Court, who was also the chief guest, and Delhi High Court Chief Justice S.B. Sinha. Other speakers included Justice Madan Lakur and Justice S.N. Kapur both of the Delhi High Court. Giving the inaugural address Justice Babu advised the ethical approach for AIDS prevention.
