Guest guest
I just added another stage to my multi stage water setup. I added a water ionizer to produce alkaline water sometimes referred to as reduced water.. Guest guest
We have wonderfully tasting water up here in the mountains so I use tap unless I'm on the road and run out. Than I buy a gallon of distilled. Jen
Guest guest
We are a bit blessed here to live in the Rockies, where the water is pretty good most of the time. For convenience sake, I do buy bottled water (Costco), but only use it when I head to the gym. At work, I have with me at almost all times a Nalgene 32 oz. bottle that I refill about 3 times a day. At home, I use tap water filtered. I also filter water when on hikes and such (giardia is nasty, you don't ever want it, trust me). Costco sells the Pur filter systems, and they are inexpensive and do a pretty fair job. Guest guest
I, myself, drink bottled water. I found that the tap water, even with the filter we bought for the faucet, still had little things floating in it when it sat for a bit. Kind of grossed me out. Plus with all the water I drink, I can really taste the difference. We buy the 3 gallon jugs and keep the in the fridge. ~Laury

Guest guest
Hi All! Saw this tonight (rather this morning--it's going on 2 a.m.) and thought that it was timely to the water discussion. (bleary eyed in Alabama) Tip of the Day Eat Your Water Tired of chugging down 8 glasses of water per day? Then entice your taste buds by eating your water, too. Fruits and vegetables are great sources of water--providing one more way to stay hydrated during the hot summer months. And, of course, nobody has to remind you of the myriad benefits of these nutrient-packed, low-calorie foods. The most waterlogged fruits and vegetables? Watermelon, oranges, apples, cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, and tomatoes. RealAge Benefit: Eating a diverse diet--including 4 servings of fruit and 5 servings of vegetables--can make your RealAge as much as 4 years younger. Guest guest
First of all rinse with mouth wash and brush your teeth to get the night time ook out of your mouth. This will help with the dry mouth some. Of course takes sips of water during the workout but try not to drink alot as it will expand the stomach making it harder to get a really tight vacum/lift. > I know I should do LL on an empty stomach, but I am > sooooo thirsty when I wake up in the morning. Guest guest
Usually I drink 6-8-10 ounces of water, but today I'm attempting to drink a Gallon. My husband says that, that's TOO MUCH and it's hard on my liver. Now I've read that drinking enough water is important, and that it is possible to drink TOO much water. I'm not sure what to think! What do you all think? SHEL
Guest guest
Thanks Kit, That's what I thought. I need a good liver and kidney cleansing! I figured as long as I don't feel as I'm FORCING myself to drink the water then I should do OK. Thanks again. SHEL

The only thing you need to be aware of: increasing your amount of water intake will increase the amount of time you spend in the bathroom. Guest guest
I really do not think it is possible to get too much. I drink close to two gallons of water a day. Suppose my body needs it though, especially since I do not spend my entire day in the restroom. LOL I never heard of it being hard on your liver though, is this true?? <snip> --------------------------------------------------------------------> Usually I drink 6-8-10 ounces of water, but today I'm attempting to drink a Gallon. Guest guest
I pretty much don't think you can overdo it either . I drink about 10 16oz bottles of water - sometimes more when it's hotter. As for spending time in the bathroom, it's a natural consequence...but then remember the old expression, " What don't pay rent must get out? " Ha ha, Leaner. Guest guest
Shel, I had that same question when I was having some bladder problems a year ago. A urologist told me that a gallon was fine. In fact it was good for me. The ephedrine product I was taking was causing my bladder to go into overdrive. I had to pee really bad all the time. I stopped taking it and now I am fine. Once your body gets used to having all that life giving water, it will start to need it and you will get thirsty everyday for it. It tastes so good and you feel so much better all the time. ~Laury

Unless you have a mental illness, you will not drink too much water. It is possible to get water intoxication ( yes, drunk) but only if you drink 15-30 gallons of water a day. Your stomach will swell up like a balloon and you will not urinate. Many schizophrenics develop water intoxication. Their brains just don't tell them that their thirst has been quenched. Water is also not hard on your liver. Only drugs and alcohol are metabolized in the liver. Whatever water you drink that your body does not use, is excreted. Here's a scientific explanation of water: Water is a tasteless, clear, odorless fluid. It is the principal chemical constituent of the body, comprising approx. 65% of the body weight of an adult male and 55% of the adult female. It is distributed within the intracellular fluid and outside of the cells in the extra cellular fluid. Water is indispensable for metabolic activities within cells as it is the medium in which chemical reactions can take place. Outside the cell, it is the principal transporting agent of the body. Water is the principal ingredient of all body fluids ( blood, lymph, tissue fluid), secretions ( salivary, gastric, bile, sweat) and excretory ( urine). The following properties of water are important to laving organisms: it is almost a universal solvent; it is a medium in which acids, bases, and salts ionize, and the concentrations of these substances ( electrolytes) must be and are normally regulated precisely by the body; it vaporizes heat, important in regulating body temperature and it is responsible for all hydrolytic reactions ( metabolism). Guest guest
LOL I never had heard that expression! Too funny! I usually get 1-2 gallons of water a day, but am only hitting the restroom about every 3-6 hours still - but can't just jump off the bus to run in a quick stop either. Suppose my body is just used to my schedule. Too, I often find myself getting dry mouth or feeling thirsty on top of that!! Man, starting to feel like a camel!! LOL Am I just odd>?? Besides, with as much alcohol I used to consume, perhaps I am making up for some lost time! LOL <snip> I pretty much don't think you can overdo it either . Guest guest
go to fiji. i like the fiji bottled water the best. but water is a more personal subject than sex. in my severe allergy days i was drinking distilled water. it seemed to do well for a while until my chemistry changed. i now drink water from a fancy water 'machine' that filters all of the toxic particles out of it with a two stage doulton filter. and then it adds in some homeopathic frequencies including the schuman frequency which is the frequency of the earth's magnetic field. it also claims to remove not only toxins from the water, but also to erase the toxic frequency down to the vibrational level. thus enabling the water to penetrate deeper into tissues. sometimes it feels like medicine. it rocks. my friend in portland has one too. all of his friends come over with gallon jugs and fill up there. he says that his plants grow better with it. three months after drinking it, my teeth got really strong. i felt like i could rip through metal with them. but, that siad, i would simply go with the water that simply tastes best to you, and goes down easiest. i have noticed with supplements that if my body really needs something i can take a handful of them, and it will just slide down. other things, my throat will simply constrict. try this with different waters you test.
