Guest guest
Hi! Adam, I was on the Immunopro for ten days and became extremely sick on it and stopped-I was also taking one scoop a day....Anyways-I did a little researching thru some blood work I have had done...I found out that I have hypergammaglobulemia-which is basically higher-proteins-antibodies in the blood-the test was called protein electrophoresis-people who have chronic inflammation (from auto-immune diseases) or infection, or hyper immunization (?) have this----along with people who have-cfids-I searched Medline and found an article by Anthoney Kromaroff that stated this has been found in people with cfids.....anyways what I am getting at is this-I don't think that I was detoxing I think that I was being poisoned!....because of the way my immune system is I think that the immunoglobulins in the whey was stirring my system up mu already over loaded by antibodies system in a bad way-------I don't want to discourage people who are having succes with this-because if you feel good on it then by all means go for it! but....for the people who take it and just are sicker I question if it is detox or not......this is a very individual thing...but I thought that I needed to post my response to it...........if someone could prove me wrong I might try a smaller dose and start over but I am going to try some other things first-olive leaf, monolaurian..ect.....other anti-virals-since this seems to be a big problem for me....everybody hang in there!!!!!!!! Hopefully we will each get to the bottom of our medical " mysteries " ! Most recently, I tried to go from 1 to 1 and 1/2 teaspoon, and felt very drowsy, had brain fog, felt irritated, extremely exhausted and fluey. I am anxious to take more, as I am feeling so much better on 1 teaspoon I can scarce believe it, but I am finding that I have to increase the dosage SLOWLY, like maybe 1/4 teaspoon every 2 weeks. So, again, the symptoms you are describing sound very similar to mine when I have had too much. I would try reducing the dose until you get to a dose that does not produce these symptoms, stay there for a while and then try very gradually increasing. F. Guest guest
Hi All, I put a message up yesterday regarding ImmunoPro and herxing. One of the replies that came up on the notice board regarding ImmunoPro was: >I don't think > that I was detoxing I think that I was being poisoned!. (full message below) They said they based this on an article by Anthoney Kromaroff and his findings on hypergammaglobulemia and cfs. Does anyone know anything about this paper? I contacted www.immunepro.com yesterday about this matter and they said they were not able to find any such paper written by Kromaroff. As so many are taking Immunopro I think it is important to be sure of all the facts. yours miffed and now concerned Adam ---------------------------------------------- ImmunoPro > > > > Hi all you whey junkies, > > > > I wish I could believe that the terrible symptoms from taking ImmunoPro > > corrospond with the good it is supposed to do. Guest guest
Hi! Adam: Here is the article: (I am typing it so sorry for the mistakes!) Department of medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA 02115 Chronic fatigue syndorme is characterized by chronic, debilitating fatigue lasting greater than 6 months. Frequent chronic and recurrent findings include fever, pharyngitis, myalgies, adenopathy, arthralgias, difficulties incognition and disorders of mood. In the majority of patients, the illness starts suddenly with an acute, " flu-like " illness. The following laboratory abnormalities are seen with some frequency, although none are seen in all patients: lymphocytosis, atypical lymphocytosis, monocytosis, elevation of hepatocellular enzymes, low levels of antinuclear antibodies, varying levels of antithyroid antibodies, partial hypergammaglobulinemia, elevated cd4:cd8 ratio, decreased cytolytic activity of natural killer cells, and low levels of immune complexes (I am adding this: immune complexes are antigens and antibodies (proteins)) Clinical and serologic studies suggest an association of cfs with all of the human herpesviruses, particularly Epstein-barr virus and the recently discovered human lymphotropic virus or Human herpesvirus 6; neither ebv nor hhv-6 has yet been shown to play a casual role in the illness. Preliminary evidence suggests that many of these features of cfs also are seen in patients wiht fibromyalgia.. This is all that I printed out-I think that there are more.....I typed in hypergammaglobulinemia and chronic fatigue syndrome to get this article to come up-I think on medline! I just think that it makes sense that if I already have too many immune complexes and hypergammaglobulinemia-which are antibodies by the way and antibodies are made up of protein.......that they whey just might not be good for ME! Please don't not take it based on my experience...look at your blood work and then weigh everything....also try and take it....I might still start at a lower dose....I was taking a full scoop a day for ten days..................I still want to do a little more research before i decide.............I just think that we all need as much information that we can get! .... Guest guest
How long does this take to work? I have been on it for 2 weeks?

I've only been on Immunepro for 3 1/2 weeks. I can tolerate only 1/2 teaspoon 3 times daily. I feel pretty rough on it all the time, i.e. it's not a simple Herx effect after taking it. I haven't felt any benefits yet, so I'm wondering what enabled you to persist for so long before you saw real improvements? Was it simply faith in the product? All the best Chris
