Yes, I have not slept hardly at all in three weeks. I just feel so jittery

and I can't fall asleep until about 4:30am. It has been terrible, absolutely

terrible. Also, another intersting point.....about two weeks after starting

the pro I happen to have a doctors appointment with my hormone doctor-she

tested my hormone levels and my estrogen was very low. It has never been low

before, I think it might be pro connected. I am replacing estrogen though

now but still having terrible problems sleeping. I might just stop the pro

because I stopped once or twice and slept ok those nights. I just don't want

to stop something that seems to be helping so many others. If its detoxing

effects, when will it stop I wonder?

Hmmm, I get that you are feeling terrible! Question still, ...so how much

sleep do you get then after fallling asleep at 4:30 a.m? If I sleep three

hours, for example, I feel pretty darned good!! (that's two full sleep

cycles of 1 1/2 hrs each). Four and a half or six hours is bliss but I do ok

with less. How bout you? Oh, also - not falling asleep till about 5 a.m. is

another sign of detox, if I recall right, in ayurvedic view. I forget the

reasoing I have heard - but it's a certain type of sleep cycle, and I used

to be like that almost constantly.

I was having a lot of trouble sleeping before I started Immunepro,

but sort of managing it with herbs. By sort of I mean that I would

get to sleep eventually.

Once I started on the Pro, I simply had to switch to Meds. I read a

couple of posts by people who said they were wired for a couple of

weeks and then began sleeping a lot. That hasn't happened to me,

though the " hyper " feeling I got at the beginning is gone. Calcium,

Magnesium, and Methyl B12 all mad a significant reduction in the

jittery feeling I got at first.

I have been guessing that the inability to sleep is associated with

the defect in the HPA axis. Basically I had already noticed that any

supplement I took that gave me a tolerable energy level during the

day, also made it more difficult or impossible to sleep. This was

paarticularly true of hormonal support products, but it was

definitely an either/or situation for me. Sleep but feel rotten

during the day, or feel ok and take sleep meds.

I have had delayed sleep phasic disorder and insomnia very severely

(generally got to sleep at 3 to 5 am, sometimes not till 7). Immunopro made

quality of sleep worse at first (much less restful), but even with that I was

feeling much much better. However, from early on I got to sleep earlier with

the pro (averaging one thirty or two am).

After staying at the same dose of pro for about 3 weeks to a month, the

sleep gradually got back to a normal restful sleep.

I have been going through a major crisis with my beloved beloved cat in

intensive care since last Wednesday, very little sleep since then, but

holding amazingly well healthwise. one hundred percent certain that it is

the immunopro that is keeping me from being very ill right now. (An aside to

those I owe emails: I am trying to stay off line as much as possible in case

the vet hospital calls).
