Guest guest
" , male hemoglobin--the red blood cell that carries oxygen to the body--men have 20% more hemoglobin than do women and therefore, in men their level of concentration is significantly higher than women " http://abcjb.com/fm/media/cfs_radio_december_20th.htm If you take the view that CFIDS initially is " sea-level " hypoxia (mountian sickness) caused by a decrease ability of the blood system (due to thick blood, low red blood cell count etc) than if CFIDS shows up at 85% of normal levels for females.... it would require a male to drop to 85/120 = 70% to show the same signs... instead of a 15% loss for remales, it becomes a 30% loss for males to show the same symptoms... If I recall my statistics correctly (bell curves et al), this would account for the 4:1 ratio between females and males CFIDS suffers.
