<<<                asprin can trigger

ear ringing... (called tinnitis)         at the beginning of

hi somish!

thanks, that's very, very interesting. i'd like to add here that now

i'm not so sure it was the aspirin - the ringing seems to periodically

intensify and then let up - maybe it's the bromelain, or just " change " -

something else going on.

i'd also like to say, that i wonder if you're hearing loss is permanent.

very curious - i've had the complete neuro-cog testing done, 10 yrs ago,

and 2 yrs ago. there is definitely a problem with the hearing - but

it's just all part of the cfs stuff - vision - all the senses are

affected. so, i'm hoping that's what's really causing your problem

too!!! and that someday we'll all be " normal " again!!!!!

I wanted to add that any NSAID, including aspirin can make tinnitus

worse, the longer the use, the more likely the ringing. I've read it

can become permanent but notice mine revs up with NSAID use and then

settles down to a much lower level when I am away from aspirin or

NSAIDS. Trouble is, I need the darned stuff to help with pain

control! oh well :)
