(called tinnitis) at the beginning of this illness i used to take peptiol bismeol along with alot of prescritpion stuff for my >>> hi somish! thanks, that's very, very interesting. i'd like to add here that now i'm not so sure it was the aspirin - the ringing seems to periodically intensify and then let up - maybe it's the bromelain, or just " change " - something else going on. i'd also like to say, that i wonder if you're hearing loss is permanent. very curious - i've had the complete neuro-cog testing done, 10 yrs ago, and 2 yrs ago. there is definitely a problem with the hearing - but it's just all part of the cfs stuff - vision - all the senses are affected. so, i'm hoping that's what's really causing your problem too!!! and that someday we'll all be " normal " again!!!!! @}{~{<<~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ debbie s. - dlsherman@... Guest guest Posted June 25, 2000 Report Share Posted June 25, 2000 I wanted to add that any NSAID, including aspirin can make tinnitus worse, the longer the use, the more likely the ringing. I've read it can become permanent but notice mine revs up with NSAID use and then settles down to a much lower level when I am away from aspirin or NSAIDS.
