Guest guest
Today, Ken and I walked 7 miles, much of it uphill (and I did it faster than I did a week ago without getting aerobic)...then later today (after I had a nap and puttered around the house), we went to the beach with the kids and dogs. There is a little local public beach near us. I haven't done this for over a year and the last time I went to the beach was before starting treatment this January. Today I built a sand castle with our daughter, had fun and kept rebuilding it as the waves knocked it down. A small thing, but the last time I was to the beach, I would have been nauseaus after 5-10 minutes of this type of activity. Today I played with our daughter in the sand for over an hour before I was tired out. I have kept on asking Ken if he thought I was improving...his recovery is going so much faster than mine (I've had the illness for roughly 18 years). I'm finally convinced I'm really truly improving.
